Our Aims and Objects

Our charitable aims are to:

1. Promote, invest in and celebrate the William Penny Brookes philosophy in order to

a) Inspire young people to participate in a lifetime of sporting and cultural activity

b) Create a living legacy and encourage community cohesion

c) Contribute to the betterment of good health and wellbeing of people throughout the UK

2. Deliver tangible and measurable sporting and cultural benefit to Much Wenlock and its surrounding communities

The WPB Foundation aims to help to fund community groups who want to run their own William Penny Brookes inspired events helping people to be the best that they can be and encouraging community cohesion.

We will support our partners in the organisation and promotion of their events wherever possible, specifically through the provision of creative fundraising ideas but also through helping to develop online access to historical archives and downloadable educational materials.

We would love to hear from you if you think you can help by fundraising or volunteering or have a project that requires funding.
